Following a fantastic trip to Heatherwick Studio, the multi-award-winning design and architecture studio, Year 5 have been extremely lucky to take part in a series of inspiring workshops at Rokesly. The first session took place this week. The sessions are delivered in partnership with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and a large team of practising architects, including professionals from a range of leading practices (such as Tate and Co and Foster and Partners) as well as independent architects.

Working collaboratively, the architects supported the children in responding to a design brief focused on creating an accessible building for people with a range of needs. The project aims to deepen pupils’ understanding of architecture, design and technology, while encouraging them to think both imaginatively and practically.

A huge thank you to RIBA and all the architects involved for generously donating their time and expertise to our school.
